The regular software on Iphone sounds like its problematic.ĭo you feel like Xiaomi is still keeping up with the firmware? I know for a fact that the 3rd party better stitching app is droid only. Streaming will likely forever be limited due to the space limitations of everything and the heat it generates. That's way too much to expect out of a 360 camera. Now the IQ isn't the bees knees, but it's still loads better than I was expecting.Īs a first camera, it's actually better than many other prosumer ones on the market. The video quality is pretty good, and it's abilities to shoot RAW images at 6k. Now in saying all that, the Sphere is my go to camera for two reasons. It's not exactly a perfect camera by a long shot.

And dear god the lens color distortion between lenses is baddddd when you let the phone stitch! The software could use a lot of improvement from a variety of standpoints. It's heavily phone based to use really, but you can do it on a desktop. The stitching software is ok at best, but there's an app that does a much better job for $12. The sphere has it's issues same as any of them. To give some back story, this would be my first 360 camera,įirst, all 360 consumer cameras have their faults.
